Live Chat With Friends One of the best things about Live is that you can discuss what’s happening in the broadcast in real time.In fact, people comment more than 10 times more on Facebook Live videos than on regular videos. And importantly for Facebook, you can also bring other friends into the live-stream - in the image you can also see that there's a green eye icon for the first two users listed, then the Messenger icon at the bottom right of the other avatars.

As noted, Facebook does appear to be shifting focus in live, with an increased focus on new, exclusive TV-type programming, including the recent addition of Major League Baseball broadcasts.
